One of our newer guys Graham was approached by a University staff member who amongst other things is studying our Native bees in their natural habitat. He travels all over and asked us to make 10 hardwood and 10 softwood bee hives the same as a sample he supplied. Graham sourced most of the hardwood and took on the job of making and overseeing the production in conjunction with other Shed Members.                        Meanwhile Tubby being Tubby (our bower bird) was offered a stack of softwood from a demolition site and proceeded to make and paint the softwood ones himself, mostly at his home. We etched one face of the boxes for decoration before assembly.

Many thanks to Graham and Tubby as well as everyone who helped get these out into the wild.
